| Abstract:
| Oracle performance troubleshooting does not depend on magic, mystique, or myth; it depends on understanding observations and interpretation.
As Richard Feynman once said, "It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is. ...it doesn't matter how smart you are, ...if your theory doesn't agree with experiment, ...it's wrong".
We all know that becoming an oracle performance tuning expert is really the aggregation of lessons learned from mistakes, and we all make mistakes, some of us maybe make a lot. Does this mean we are experts?
